In the revealing, hugely-hyped new 15-minute trailer, “Ice and Fire: A Foreshadowing,” the cast and crew confirm they will deliver on all the conflict and power plays, murder and mayhem, that everyone has anticipated when Game Of Thrones returns to HBO on April 6th.
“The Lannisters aren’t the only ones who pay their debts.” – Oberyn Martell
The producers of Game of Thrones say they know what the fans want from Season Four: Dragons, fire, battles and, of course, another (twisted) wedding. They plan to offer all this plus they’re also promising “a more exciting season” than the one that ended with the brutal Red Wedding…(!?)
In Game Of Thrones Season 4, the blood that spills matters as much as the blood that ties families together.
Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage) must rely on the capricious whims of his sister Cersei (Lena Headey) more. Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Sam Tarly (John Bradley) depend equally upon one another to survive.
In a land far away from the Iron Throne, Daenerys Targaryen’s (Emilia Clarke) dragons are growing quickly and are at the age where they still look kinda cute but they are far more dangerous than ever. Their “mother” must puzzle out her role as a leader as she sits atop her own throne in what actress Emilia Clarke describes as her “tropical” throne room.
And, last but absolutely not least, King Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), he of the Iron Throne, gets his own Purple Wedding as he marries Margaery Tyrell (Natalie Dormer).
“Some of the most shocking and mind-blowing scenes of the entire series come at the end of this season. There are some very bloody confrontations.” – Game Of Thrones executive producer, writer and director David Benioff
